Portal 2 Delayed Until 2011, E3 Surprise Revealed

In a press release titled "Making Games is Hard," Valve this week announced the delay of Portal 2 into 2011.

Originally scheduled for the end of this year, the news will disappoint a lot of fans of the first Portal game. However, Valve, writing the press release from the perspective of Aperture Science, the company assured fans that life would go on despite the delay.

MSI's GT660 Gaming Notebook Gets Spec'd

A few months back at CeBit, MSI showed off a gaming notebook that looked pretty amazing.With a 16-inch HD display, USB 3.0 and Intel's Core i7 CPU, things looked very promising.
MSI yesterday revealed the full list of specs for the GT660 and while we'll reserve judgment until we find out what kind of money they're asking for the machine, we think it looks pretty damn sweet.

Aside from the aforementioned 16-inch HD display, 2xUSB 3.0 and Intel Core i7, the GT660 packs Nvidia's GeForce GTX 285M Graphics with 1GB VRAM; up to 12GB of RAM; a 500GB harddrive (with an option for a second 500GB HDD); HDMI out; and a 9-cell battery.
Electronista reports that the desktop replacement will also come with MSI’s Turbo Drive Engine+ (TDE+) technology, which doubles the CPU, RAM, and graphics performance with the push of a button. However, MSI didn't provide any more details on the technology.

FBI Launches Investigation into AT&T iPad Breach

A couple of days back, Gawker revealed an AT&T data breach that affected more than 100,000 iPad users.

On Wednesday, a security team spoke to Gawker about anAT&T vulnerability it had exploited to gain information about iPad users. As a result of their research, they had obtained what the web is now calling, "the most exclusive email list on the planet." Goatse Security's list includes the email addresses of NYT CEO Janet Robinson, Harvey Weinstein, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and Diane Sawyer of ABC News. While the breach was reported to AT&T and the security hole closed, Goatse shared the exploit with third parties and is unsure who took advantage before AT&T had the chance to fix things.

Reader "Peachy-Pie" sent in some snapshots of a giveaway she received from a recent Yahoo event. While she forgot to tell us what the event was about, her pictures of theYahoo building block USB hub are pretty awesome.

She even went through the effort of building the Yahoo logo from the pieces:

We're assuming the hub above conforms to the USB 2.0 standard. On the side are an operation light, a miniUSB port for connecting to another hub or a computer, and a DC port for additional power if needed.

No Porn for Windows Phone 7 Users Either

The App Store is pretty stringent when it comes to the "no boobies" rule and it looks like Microsoft is following suit with Windows Phone 7.

Apple made a huge splash when it pulled porn from the App Store. Whether folks were annoyed about the inconsistency (some apps were pulled while others were allowed to stay), or the fact that they just wanted to see some iBoobs,  there was plenty of annoyed iPhone users and developers.

Maybe that's why Microsoft decided to make things clear from the word go; Ars Technica reports that among the Marketplace rules announced earlier this week is a strict no porn policy. Microsoft's app requirement say no application containing porn or even sexually suggestive content will be allowed.
