Its not that Blackberry users had no option for using Twitter on their Blackberry devices before, but this application comes directly from twitter, hence, has its significance. Earlier, Other Twitter apps for Blackberry handsets included UberTwitter and Seesmic. Official Twitter Application can be downloaded from here. Responding quickly, Mobilink has already pushed Twitter Application on all blackberry handsets, while we are not sure about other operators. But we do expect that they will follow the same. Just to mention, this application will use GPRS for tweet updates, and not the SMS.

Dell Expands Cloud Computing

Dell is moving beyond the box, offering two cloud computing solutions.

Recently Dell made several announcements regarding solutions for the virtual era. It was actually a big day for the company, marking its initial journey away from the box and into the world of cloud computing and services. Apparently the new cloud-based attack will come on two fronts: Dell's Cloud Solution for web applications, and a Cloud Partner Program for existing systems.

"This web application platform as a service (PaaS) solution is designed to address the key issues around web application development and deployment: unpredictable traffic, the fear of under-provisioning and migration from development to production," the company stated in this press release regarding the Cloud Solution. "The solution will combine Dell cloud-optimized servers and services with fully-integrated Web application cloud software from Joyent, a leader in cloud computing."

Dell's Cloud Partner program will take a different route by expanding options available for customers looking to build and deploy public and private clouds. The company has called on three cloud ISV partners to help create the virtual space: Aster Data, Greenplum, and Canonical. All three will offer cloud blueprints for data analytics, self-service data warehousing, and an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) cloud capability.

In addition to these two solutions, Dell is also extending its PowerEdge server family with the new "C" models. The C1100 is a cluster-optimized compute node server, packing high memory. The C2100 is a cloud compute platform and cloud storage server, providing high performance for data analytics. The third addition, Dell's PowerEdge C6100, is a 4-node cloud and cluster optimized shared infrastructure server.

Apple Copies Xbox Live/PSN for iPhone OS 4.0

Multiasking may have been the biggest announcement Apple made about iPhone 4.0 but the company also detailed something else called GameCenter. GameCenter is a social gaming platform for the iPhone that's a little similar to Xbox Live and PSN.

GameCenter contains a set of APIs that allows developers to create apps that incorporate certain social capabilities, like the ability to invite friends to play a game, start a multiplayer game through matchmaking and track achievements and compare high scores on a leader board.

There are thousands of iPhone gaming apps so we're betting a little network where people can get together and play against each other as well as keep track of each other's high scores is going to be scarily popular.

HTC Incredible Coming to Verizon on April 29

The HTC Incredible is rumored to be hitting Verizon in just a couple of week's time. Reports say we'll see the phone in Verizon stores on April 25 and in Best Buy branches on April 29.

Verizon isn't commenting on rumors but there's a good chance this is solid information. Who's interested? yesterday reported that the HTC Incredible was basically a CDMA Desire with an 8-megapixel camera. Incorporating the Sense UI and Android 2.1, the device packs a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED display and a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU.

Rumor has it the device is launching on Sunday, April 25. This fits in well with Verizon's tradition of launching devices on a Sunday. However, a leaked document over on Android and Me shows an April 29 release in conjunction with Best Buy
