MSI launches in the US its new GX60 affordable high-performance gaming notebook powered by AMD’s CPU and GPU. The 15.6-inch gaming machine is powered by AMD’s Trinity A10 quad-core processor and Radeon HD7970M graphics card with 2GB video memory. To deliver enhanced gaming experience, MSI even adds Killer E2200 Gaming network card and SteelSeries chiclet gaming keyboard. It also includes Turboo Drive Engine technology for instant one-touch overclocking.

The GX60 comes equipped with 8GB of RAM and 750GB 7200RPM hard drive, as well as a Blu-ray Disc drive for users to enjoy high-definition movie. It has a 15.6-inch 1920×1080 Full HD display with an anti-reflection coating to reduce eyestrain. To deliver great sound, the laptop packs THX stereo speakers and subwoofer and includes Audio Boost sound enhancement. It even gets headset amplifier and gold flash jack to offer high-fidelity sound via audio jack. The GX60 supports WiFi and comes with a 5-in-1 card reader, three USB 3.0 ports, HDMI 1.4 port and a multitouch touchpad.
MSI’s GX60 comes running Windows 8 64-bit. It is priced at $1299.99.

MAINGEAR NOMAD 15 GAMING NOTEBOOK POWERED BY CORE I7 AND GEFORCE GTX GPU

Maingear expands its lineup for PC gamers with the new NOMAD 15 custom gaming notebook powered by latest mobile hardware. The 15.5-inch gaming machine is powered by Intel’s 3rd gen Core i7 up to Core i7-3840QM, and choice of NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 670M, 670MX, 675MX, or 680M graphics cards with one-touch Maingear Redline GPU overclocking. You can expect up to 32GB of DDR5 1600MHz memory.

As for storage, the NOMAD 15 can be equipped with up to dual 256GB mSATA SSDs in RAID or dual 750GB 7200RPM hard drives. And you can get either 4x Blu-ray reader or 8x Blu-ray combo drive, and a 4-in-1 memory card reader. The gaming notebook comes with a 15.5-inch 1080p Full HD LED-backlit display with anti-glare matte finish. To provide a stable and fast network connection for online gamers, the NOMAD sports Killer E2200 LAN and optional 1201 Wireless network cards. It also features THX TruStudio Pro with DynAudio speakers with subwoofer.

The NOMAD 15 offers three USB 3.0 ports, FireWire port, eSATA and HDMI and DVI-D outputs, S/PDIF out. It comes with a 9-cell removable battery. Four pre-configured models, Good, Better, Best, and Ultimate, are available and starts at $1549. Buyers can chooise from color finishes, including Alpine White, Organic Green, Plum Crazy, Rosso Scuderia, Standard Black, Vertiga Blue Mica, to fit their style.

SAMSUNG HMX-F90 720P CAMCORDER WITH 52X OPTICAL ZOOM

Samsung launches in the UK market the new HMX-F90 digital camcorder with 52x super long zoom. You may be a little disappointed that the new video camera does only 1280×720/30p HD video recording instead of Full HD. It comes equipped with a 5 Megapixel CMOS image sensor and also does still image shooting.

As mentioned above, the F90 sports a 52 super long zoom lens. The lens also has F1.8 aperture, and using Intelli-Zoom, the zoom range can be extended to 70x. The camcorder includes time-lapse recording that allows users to slow down the amount of frames recorded per second, and the Record Pause for users to pause filming without having to start a new video file. It even comes with in-camera video editing.

The HMX-F90 comes with a 2.7-inch LCD display. When conncted to a PC via USB cable, you can use the One Touch share button to easily upload videos to social networking sites (via the Intelli-Studio software). The camcorder uses SD/SDHC cards to store videos and images.

Following the W899 and W999, China Telecom, a state-own mobile carrier in China, and Samsung has partnered to bring the world another flip-style dual-screen Android smartphone, the SCH-W2013 endorsed by Jackie Chan. The new premium dual-screen smartphone is boosted by a quad-core 1.4GHz processor and runs Android 4.0 operating system.

The SCH-W2013 sports two 3.7-inch Super AMOLED 800X480 touchscreen display so that users can use apps and browse the web without flipping open the phone. It has a 8 Megapixel main camera with Full HD video recording and a 1.9 Megapixel front-facing camera for video chat with friends and family. The dual-screen handset also comes dual-mode support capable of handling both GSM 900/1800/1900MHz and CDMA 800/1900MHz networks. It also supports Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n wireless connectivity. You can find 16GB internal storage and a microSD/SDHC card slot for up to 64GB cards.

The SCH-W2013 gets a 1850mAh battery. The phone will be launched as part of a charity program to help victims in Yunnan Zhaotong earthquake to rebuild their home. It will be priced between 18,000 (US$2891) and 20,000 (us$3213) Chinese Yuan.

Transcend brings a new high-speed mobile storage device, the new ESD200 USB 3.0 portable SSD. The compact, mobile solid state drive uses USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface for fast data transfer speed, and is backwards compatible with USB 2.0. Using solid state flash memory instead of hard drive, the lightweight mobile drive runs cool and silent and is able to withstand shock and vibration.
The ESD200 is available in 128GB and 256GB modesl. It provides up to 260MB/s read and 225MB/s write speeds, capable of copying a 4.7GB DVD in just 15 seconds.
