New USB 3.0 flash drives from PQI

USB 3.0 is slowly becoming mainstream in the gadget world. But we haven’t yet seen a 3.0 flash drive until now. Power Quotient International Co., Ltd (PQI) is making three versions of its U366 flash drive, 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. It comes in an aluminum casing with a plastic cover and will ship in either blue or grey colors. Dimensions are 87mm x 22mm x 12mm. Big news is that it will be USB 3.0.

USB 3.0 means that these flash drives could possibly be capable of bandwidth up to 5GB/s while retaining backwards compatibility with older standards. PQI also states that the U366 will have transfer speeds of up to 97MB/s

      Go through your computer and delete any pictures, videos or songs you don't want anymore. This sounds obvious, but you will surprise yourself at how much junk you accumulate over the years!!!

      Check out the list of loaded programs for your computer to see if there is anything you don't use anymore (that is also not needed for your computer to run properly.) Do this by going to the "start" menu, then click on "Set program access and defaults" then onto the "Change or remove programs tab" and see what you find. Delete any old programs that are no longer being used.
      
   3. Step3
      Once this is done, its time to clean up! Run a "Disk Cleanup" by going to the "Start" menu, then clicking on "All programs" then "Accessories" then "System Tools" and then click on "Disk Cleanup." Run the clean up. This will free up space from all of the stuff you deleted.
      
   4. Step4
      Next it's time to defragment! Use all of the same steps listed in step 3, but instead of clicking on "Disk Cleanup" click on "Disk Defragmenter" and run that. This basically moves files around and organizes them to optimise the performance.

      Now run a virus scan! If you don't have one, you can get one for free from www.download.com

      Next go to the "Start Menu" and click on "Control Panel" then "Network and Internet Connections" and then click on "Internet Properties." Go throw and delete your history, temporary files and cookies

7.  Install IE-SPYAD, which puts nearly 20,000 known dangerous domains in IE’s restricted site zone.

8.  Install a HOSTS file from here or here.

9.  Educate yourself on how to not become infected in the first place.
