Intel adds 180GB model to SSD 335 Series
Intel adds a new 180GB model to its SSD 335 series of solid state drives. The line will also get a new case design by the end of the quarter. The SSD 335 comes in 2.5-inch 9.5mmform factor and is based on Intel’s new 20nm MLC NAND Flash memory. SATA III 6Gbps interface is used for enhanced performance.

Intel’s SSD 335 series, now in 180GB and 240GB capcities, offer up to 500MB/s read na 450MB/s write speeds, and 42,000 IOPS read, 52,000 IOPS write performance. A 2.5-inch to 3.5-inch drive adapter and SATA cables are included in the box package for easy installation on desktop computers.

ADATA, maker of storage products, introduces its newest USB 3.0 flash drive, the DashDrive UV128. The new drive uses a capless retractable design with sliding USB connector, so you don’t have to worry about losing the cap anymore. The USB connector can be easily pushed out with a flick of the thumb. The matte-textured body is scratch and dirt resistant.

The UV128 is available in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities. It provides up to 25MB/s sequential write speeds. The new DashDrive supports USB 3.0 and is backward compatible with USB 2.0. It comes in black/blue and black/yellow colors and measures 69  x 21 x 9mm.
