Dropbox for Android updated with ability to move files and folders

We all love Dropbox here. It’s easily the best way to quickly transfer small files between devices without the hassles of using a cable and also great for backing up important data.
Now the Android version of the app has hit version 2.2.2, which brings with it a small but significant change. You can now move files and folders around, something that was annoyingly missing in the previous versions. Just tap on the drop down menu button next to the file or folder, and then use the Move option to select a location where you’d like to move it.
Other changes include the usual bug fixes and performance improvements.

Google releases completely revamped v2.0 of Gmail app for iOS

The previous Gmail app for iOS is the most famous Google-made app for iOS, but for all the wrong reasons. Although a lot of people did use it because it included support for push mail that the native iOS client lacks for Gmail, it was nothing more than a wrapper for the mobile web version of the service, which rubbed people the wrong way.
Enter v2.0. Google has revamped the Gmail client for iOS, which has reportedly been in works since the past six months. The new client looks nothing like the old one and is more in line with other recent iOS apps released by Google, such as Google+, Google Search, Google Drive and YouTube. Gone is the web-UI like design of the previous version, replaced by a clean, minimalist and spacious design.
Other than the UI, the new app also has a couple of other new features. You finally get the ability to use multiple accounts within the app and now you can get search predictions as you type.
As before, the Gmail app is completely free for download. You can either update the app if you have the previous version installed or click here to download it.

Google I/O coming back next year on May 15 in San Francisco

We are still in December but Google has already announced the dates for the next year’s Google I/O event, which will be taking place in the Moscone Center West in San Francisco from May 15 to 17, 2013.
If you’re not aware of Google I/O, it’s Google’s developer event where developers from around the world come together to check out the new stuff Google has in store for them, attend all the training sessions and interact with other developers.
This is also when Google usually announces the next version of its Android operating system. If the past events are any indications we will likely be seeing Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie being announced at this event, along with updates to Google’s other services and devices.
Google will be announcing the registration details in February 2013 for those who are interested in attending these events.

ADATA DASHDRIVE DURABLE UD310 GEM-LIKE USB FLASH DRIVE

USB flash drive is not a new product, and there are just tons of thumbdrives out there. To stand out from the crowd, manufacture have to make their products unique – super fast speeds, special designs, collaboration with other brands or characters. Here comes ADATA’s jewel-like DashDrive Durable UD310, a ‘rugged USB Gem for all’.

The UD310 comes in a gem-shaped design highlighted by a jewel-like faceted end-cap. Its tiny form factor takes up minimal space that it becomes a decoration when it is plugged into a notebook computer. Using a special chip-on-board (COB) process, the DashDrive is water and impact resistant. It is a little disappoint that the drive is still using USB 2.0 connection, instead of faster USB 3.0.
The DashDrive Durable UD310 is available in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities, and comes in black and red colors.
